As well as the museum , the splendid Tudor Merchant's House outlines Tenby ’s heyday as a busy port. Built in the late 15th Century it is the only surviving property of this era in Tenby and has been restored to evoke various periods in the houses history.

The house is believed to be the oldest building in the picturesque town of Tenby along the south coast of Wales . Visitors to this three-storey building can view its huge Flemish chimney and fireplace, as well as he original scarfed roof-trusses. The remains of early frescos can be seen on three interior walls and the house is furnished to recreate family life from the Tudor period onwards. Outside is an herb garden; herbs would have been used as medicine during the Tudor era.
