The residential site at Studley dates back to the 17th century when a castle was built near to St Mary's Church which still stands today. Later ruined, a new mock-medieval castle was rebuilt on the adjoining land in the early Victorian period of the late 1830s. Today Studley Castle boasts stunning gothic architecture, a decorative octaganol vestibule, stained-glass windows, castleated turrets and towers not to mention resident gargoyles. Today Studley Castle offers value for money in this traditional setting.

Guest rooms at Studley Castle are all of a 3* standard and are located both in the old castle and a modern wing. Individually appointed and decorated the rooms vary in size and aspect and those in the oldest parts of the building have unique features including leaded windows and chandelier lighting. Most rooms hold stunning views across the estate. Décor is mellow and relaxing and furnishings are in soft woods. All rooms offer a range of facilites with ensuite bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities and satellite television as standard. Wifi internet is available at a small additional charge. Bathrooms are well-equipped with modern fittings and decorated in stark white.

Dining at Studley Castle is a pleasure; the Oakroom restaurant is elegantly furnished, perfectly set overlooking the castle-gardens and offers a traditional menu of various hearty dishes including fish, meat and vegetarian options.
