Southerndown Beach
Southerndown beach is located 20 miles west of Cardiff , and situated within the beautiful Heritage Coast of South Wales . The sandy, pebble beach is extensively used for swimming and surfing. To the east of the bay is Witches Point, designated under SSSI for geological importance. The heritage coast centre is also sited at the beach interpreting local coastal conservation interests.
Access: Nearest town is Southerndown. From M4 head for A48 to Porthcrawl. Take B4265 to Llantwit Manor and then B4524 to Southerndown. After 1 mile turn left at 3 Golden Cups pub and follow beach road.
