A small seaside port town on Scotland ’s west coast, Troon is famed as the location of the Royal Troon Golf Course.
Situated on the coast in South Ayrshire, Troon is 8 miles from the town of Ayr, 3 miles from Glasgow International Airport at Prestwick and 35 miles south of Glasgow .
Troon grew from the 1800s as a bustling harbour with ferry routes running to Belfast and Larne and today is one of the main freight and ferry ports between Ireland and Britain.

This small seaside town has seven golf courses, including the famous Royal Troon, which has hosted the Open Championship on numerous occasions.
