The Smiddy (South Uist)

A traditional thatched cottage, built in 2008 using local stone and thatched reed, is set within a scattered crofting community. Only 5 minutes walk from beautiful sandy beaches and The Polocher Inn.

This one-bedroom cottage is furnished to a very high standard. The Smiddy comprises a kitchen/living room, bathroom with spa bath and separate shower, underfloor heating from renewable energy sources, TV, fridge freezer, washing machine/tumble dryer, dishwasher, cooker, microwave. Ramped access.

There are 2 bicycles provided for your use to give your car a rest! Local walks and public transport time-tables are available in the cottage. Amidst stunning scenery and just a short walk to an unspoilt sandy beach. A wonderful base for exploring South Uist, Benbecula, North Uist and the Isle of Barra.

Electricity, bed linen and towels are included. We regret dogs are not permitted. No smoking in this cottage. Cot and high chair are available with advance notice.
