The Harbour Inn is a quaint restaurant with rooms pleasantly set in the tiny whitewashed village Bowmore overlooking the traditional harbour. With just 7 guest rooms in the hotel and a further four rooms in the sister guest house "The Inns Over By" you are always guaranteed a warm welcome and personal service from your hosts Neil and Carol Scott. The comfortable public rooms are just as welcoming with a cosy lounge, located on the first floor, well-stocked with books and games and offering wonderful harbour views. Similar views can be enjoyed from the spacious ground floor Conservatory Lounge ideal in warm weather or you can simply indulge in a dram or two in the reception lounge with its roaring open fire during the cooler winter months.

Each of the 7 guest bedrooms are comfortably furnished and individually decorated to a high standard and all offer excellent en-suite bathroom facilities. All have controllable heating, bathtubs and some have additional power showers. A range of room-types will suit couples and small families and a number of the rooms have views over the water towards the Isle of Jura. As standard each bedroom has direct dial telephone, colour television, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and those extra little touches to make you feel at home. The award winning restaurant at the Harbour Inn is widely recommended and has a reputation for excellent food. The menus are regularly rotated to take advantage of the freshest of local produce from the superb larder of Islay. All meals are prepared to order and can be modified to suit any particular dietary requirements. On offer is a range of seafoods in various luxurious and delicious sauces, dressing, garnishing and savoury jams whilst those preferring a plainer fare can opt for simpler grilled steaks and fish.
