This old stone white washed lodge is four hundred years old and was originally 'drovers inn', where in a bygone age herders would rest their cattle on the way from Highland pastures to lowland markets. Inside the highland charm is maintained with an unimposing reception area and a hunting lodge ambience to the lounge and bar. Taychreggan offers some huge suites furnished in soothing soft coloured ash wood with spacious and pristine bathrooms. Some rooms also have four-poster beds for that extra romantic touch and all rooms offer enchanting views across the shimmering Loch Awe. Though no rooms have a television, in fact there isn't one in the hotel, this will be the last thing on your mind as you take in the simple pleasures of the surrounding views.

Taychreggan offers award winning dining with freshly prepared and delightfully presented cuisine in an elegant and cosy restaurant looking out across the serene waters of the Loch. Such delightful cuisine is complimented by a selection of fine wines and an extensive collection of malt whiskies.
