The beautifully located Self-Catering Portsonachan Lodges in Argyll can accommodate 2 to 8 people. Located on the grounds of the Portsonachan hotel, the self-catering options include Lodges, and Coach House Apartments and Lochside Suites. Sizes range from 1 to 3 bedroom so there is an option that suits you no matter whether you are a couple or a party up to 8 people.

Steeped in history, this idyllic location is an excellent resort from which to explore the surrounding countryside. With opportunities for fishing, golf, sailing on Loch Awe or walking holidays in the Highlands, there is plenty to experience here. The 27 mile long fresh water loch (the 3rd longest loch in Scotland) is home to a wide assortment of fish. You can catch char, salmon, pike, brown trout and rainbow trout. Hotel Guests fish for free. The hotel's location offers glorious views of the loch and the mighty Ben Cruachan. Ospreys, sea eagles and even the mighty golden eagle are regularly spotted. Portsonachan Hotel is 20 minutes south of Dalmally, west of Inveraray, and is 1.5 hours drive from Glasgow , 2.5 hours drive from Edinburgh and 1 hour drive from the harbour town of Oban , 'Gateway to the Isles'.

One-bedroom Lochside Suites (sleep 2). Spectacular units with large double bedrooms, shower room, kitchen, lounge and patio with seating.

The Lodges have 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms (sleep 2 - 8 people). The 3 bedroom lodge will sleep up to 8 people, the 2 bedroom lodge up to 6 people and the one bedroom lodge up to 4 people. The 2 & 3 bedroom lodges are equipped with a sauna. They all have a kitchen with dining area, with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, cooker and microwave.

The Coach House consists of 1 & 2 bedroom apartments sleeping 2 - 6 people and are equipped with dishwasher, fridge, cooker and microwave. The 2-bedroom apartments also have a washing machine. Some have disabled facilities.

Bed linen and towels are included. Electricity is by meter reading on arrival/departure and charged as used. Dogs are permitted with advance notice.
