Mull is a tiny island in the Inner Hebrides off the West coast of Scotland . Peace & tranquillity are in abundance on the tiny Island of Mull. The main town is the pretty painted fishing town of Tobermor. Historically Mull was controlled by the Maclean clan from their powerbase at Duart Castle.
The many footpaths and walkways around the island make it easy to explore other hidden gems of ancient structures, standing stones, cairns and natural beauty of the island.
A variety of birdlife can be seen on Mull. Salmon and trout populate the island’s rivers & lochs while the seas around Mull are among the most important whale & dolphin habitats in Europe.
The spiritual island of Iona, where in 563 St Columba set up a monastic settlement, bringing Christianity to Scotland, is a ten-minute boat ride away.
