Joiner's Cottage (Angus)
Joiners Cottage is in the rural village of Dykehead, Angus - a lovely and varied area of mountains, glens, traditional villages, castles & monuments steeped in history and interesting coastline. From hilltop to seashore, there is something for everyone. Angus is close to the heartland of Scotland; you can easily visit Edinburgh, St. Andrews, Perth, Pitlochry or Aberdeen in a day.
Joiners Cottage is a traditional stone-built cottage with a pleasant garden for a barbecue or just sitting out.
There is an open plan living/dining area, separate kitchen, twin bedroom and a king size double bedroom which can accommodate 2 extra beds (£20 per bed supplement per week). The bathroom has bath & shower and there is a private enclosed garden. Joiner's Cottage is on one level except for two stairs to the bathroom and kitchen.
Bed linen, towels and tea towels are included. Smoking is permitted but not in the bedrooms. The kitchen has a fridge, cooker, oven, microwave, an automatic washing machine and tumble dryer. A cot and high chair are available with advance notice. The pleasant enclosed garden has garden furniture and a barbecue. Dogs are permitted with advance permission (charge).
The nearest town is Kirriemuir, 4.5 miles away. There is tennis at Forfar (8 miles), riding at Glen Prosen (5 miles) and golf at Kirriemuir. There is also fishing, skiing and swimming available in the surrounding area and many good walking routes. Glamis Castle just 10 miles away and you do not have far to travel for a visit to a whisky distillery.
