A lovely country house hotel, Balcary Bay dates back to the 17th century and stands overlooking the shores of the Solway Firth close to Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright.

Built in 1625, Balcary Bay hotel has a long and interesting history associated with local smugglers in days of old. The hotel stands within over three acres of gardens by the banks of the Solway Firth in the unspoilt countryside of Galloway.
