Scarborough North Bay

The North Bay at Scarborough is a pleasant sandy beach ideally suited to families. The ruined Norman castle on the headland stands 150 feet above the harbour dominating the skyline overlooking the beach. The sealife centre is only a short walk away and has become one of Scarborough's most popular attractions with it's large tanks displaying the ecology of the North Sea, an underwater walk and a hospital for rescued seals. Nearby to the beach is a miniature railway and elegant park with a lake.

Access: Scarborough can be reached from York by car on the A64 / A170 in just over an hour
