Prestatyn Central Beach
A four-mile promenade joins Central beach with the adjacent Barkby and Ffrith beaches, making a very enjoyable walk around the sandy bays. The views encountered along the walk - which is also a cycle route - are simply amazing and include the likes of the Snowdonian Mountains . The long stretch of central beach is blanketed with beautiful sands interrupted by rocky groynes. There is a leisure centre nearby, which has a ballroom, swimming pool and health and fitness studio. The beach is great for dog walking with both dog exercise and dog restricted areas. A wildlife reserve is also dotted along the coastline. Prestatyn is a really pleasant place to visit whether for a holiday or a day trip.
Access: The A55 runs parallel with the coast providing easy car access to the town. Prestatyn train station has frequent rail links to most of the nearby major towns and cities.
