Port Eynon Beach

With its expanse of golden sand, convenient access and selection of nearby campsites Port Eynon is an ideal resort to take a young family. The interesting selection of rock pools during low tide are perfect for inquisitive children to explore and the lifeguards patrolling the beach during the summer months ensure clean safe bathing. At the far end of the bay is the eighteenth century ruin of the old Salt House, which is a nationally important historic site. The beach is located on the Gower Peninsula, Britain's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is within easy reach of the historic Port Eynon village with its selection of cafes, restaurants and souvenir shops.

Access: The nearest town is Swansea . Take the A4118 city centre to Port Eynon. Buses 18A and 18C run every two hours Monday to Saturday. Number 18T (four journeys) Thursdays June, July and August.
