Once the post office serving the picturesque village of St Fagan, but don't be misled by the name, there is nothing old about this establishment. The Old Post office is an up-to-date restaurant with rooms, whose accomplished contemporary cuisine mirrors the surroundings.

The bedrooms are free from chintz and all traditional touches are abandoned in favour of crisp clean, uncluttered space. Each of the rooms are exceptionally well equipped and thoughtfully designed.

The cosmopolitan restaurant takes pride and place at the Old Post Office, with modern dishes such as Pan-fried fillet of brill with a saffron and mussel broth and Braised shin of beef with caramelised foie gras and seasonal root vegetables and truffle jus, all excellently presented and served to the highest standards.
In terms of location, the Old Post Office has the best of both worlds, situated on the fringes of Cardiff, it is ideally placed for enjoying the highlife of the city, yet set in St Fagans you can enjoy the peace and quiet of this quaint village, while the excellent Museum of Welsh Life is right on the doorstep.
