Alveston Manor

Luxury accommodation in Britain

Situated just a few minutes walk from the centre of Stratford-Upon-Avon, this charming Tudor period Manor house provides the perfect base for soaking up the atmosphere of Shakespearian England.

Set in its own grounds, this historic Elizabethan building comprises many original features such as the Tudor panelled exterior and a staircase dating back to the days of Shakespeare.

The area has many connections with William Shakespeare. Stratford-Upon-Avon is where the famous playwright was born, and it is rumoured that the very first performance of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ was given underneath an ancient cedar tree in the grounds of Alveston Manor.

Alveston Manor offers luxurious accommodation and all rooms are equipped with up to date facilities. The majority of bedrooms are located in the modern wing of the hotel, and there are a few theme rooms, including suites and a four-poster in the original portion of the manor house and the Georgian stable block, which are filled with historic character.

The hotel’s facilities include the locally renowned Manor Restaurant, which offers a choice of traditional dishes with a modern twist. The hotel’s two bars, the Manor Bar and the Terrace Bar offer the perfect environment for a few quiet drinks whether by an open fire in the Manor in winter or out on the Terrace gardens in summer time.

Alveston Manor also has a Vital Leisure Club with a full range of facilities including a fitness suite, 18-metre swimming pool, sauna and beauty spa, offering a wide range of treatments.
