Dryfesdale Country House Hotel

Luxury accommodation in Britain

Situated near the picturesque town of Lochmaben close to the borders with England, Dryfesdale Country House is perfectly placed at the gateway to Scotland.

Dating back some 240 years, Dryfesdale Country House is set amid 5 acres of scenic elevated parkland overlooking breathtaking Scottish countryside. The history of the house dates back to 1762, yet the hotel offers all the modern amenities and comforts and is highly rated in the area.

Each of the bedrooms are well appointed, and come fully equipped with modern facilities and boast superb views of the gardens and surrounding countryside. The garden suites, situated on the ground floor, have French windows opening out onto their own patio area. In each room, guests are greeted by Dougal; the Dryfesdale’s resident teddy bear.

The award-winning Kirkhill Restaurant at the hotel is renowned for its high standards and cuisine using solely fresh local produce from Solway salmon, Galloway beef, Lockerbie cheeses and fresh homemade bread. The public areas are set with open log fires, ideal places to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or one of over 150 malt whiskies from the hotel’s well stocked bar.

Dryfesdale Country House Hotel is perfectly placed for exploring this unspoilt corner in the south west of Scotland and there are many outdoor activities available close by.
