Pen y Dyffryn Country Hotel

Luxury accommodation in Britain

Standing on the ancient border of Offa’s Dyke, between Wales and England, Pen-y-Dyffryn Country Hotel is a haven of good food and hospitality.

Set within the steep hills and deep valleys of the Welsh Marches, Pen-y-Dyffryn is a delightful country house with a winning combination of comfort, ambience, service, style and quality. Pen-y-Dyffryn is homely and comfortable, an inviting stay with an extremely faithful following of return guests.

The bedrooms are well appointed with smart bathrooms, some with spa baths, all are fitted with modern amenities and overlook lovely gardens. The rooms in the adjoining coach house have their own patio areas, especially appealing in the summer months.

Good food is also an essential part of the Pen-y-Dyffryn experience. A new menu each night is based on the highest quality and mostly local ingredients that form the basis of innovative cooking with dishes such as Pan fried medallion of organic rare breed pork, served with a Shropshire blue cheese sauce and quince jelly or Roasted guinea fowl supreme, filled with apricots and thyme, served with braised red cabbage and a mustard sauce.

Pen-y-Dyffryn is a wonderful rural retreat, perfect for walkers along the ancient Offa’s Dyke path, while the fabulous National Trust properties at Erddig, Powis and Chirk are right on the doorstep.
