Eastwell Manor is a beautiful stately mansion set in spectacular grounds of terraced gardens and manicured lawns in an ancient corner of England.
The manor has an aristocratic history dating back to the 11th Century with close Royal connections since William the Conqueror. The name itself is taken from a spring known as Eastwell used by Saxon herdsmen.
The manor house is Elizabethan, partly covered in lush green ivy, with tall chimneys and gothic mullioned windows, it sits over looking vast and splendid gardens of clipped hedges, beautifully manicured lawns and a fabulous Victorian fountain. The 16th Century gatehouse marks a fabulous entrance, across the courtyard, surrounded by gabled windows, and on through the stone archway and solid oak doors into the manor house. The hotel’s public areas boast a wealth of charcterful interiors and historic flourishes; ornate stone fireplaces, fine oak panelling and elaborate ceiling plasterwork.
The hotel has a choice of rooms in the manor house and those situated in renovated cottages on the grounds. The Manor Rooms offer space, elegance and sumptuous comfort, each is individually furnished in a classic style, yet have all the modern comforts you can expect and come with lavishly spacious bathrooms and most have excellent views across the grounds. Outside the manor, Eastwell Mews offer equal comfort in sympathetically converted Victorian Stables, which can be self catered and some have private terraces.
The award-winning restaurant offers inventive and creative cuisine from a selection of French and English dishes complimented by an extensive list of fine wines. Formal yet intimate, the restaurant is set with oak panelling and candle light splendour. Alternatively the Brasserie offers informal yet sophisticated dining and modern cuisine.
