Situated beside the wistful ruins of Lamphey Abbey, this grand Georgian mansion retains many of its original classical flourishes, granting Lamphey Court a sense of grace and flamboyance.
A fabulous white washed mansion house built in 1823, Lamphey Court sits overlooking lush green lawns and is fronted by a portico with neoclassical colonnades. Inside, the well proportioned and richly decorated public rooms maintain this classical character, the drawing room is elegantly laid out, decorated in soft subtle colours and opens out into a light and pleasant conservatory.
The bedrooms are attractively appointed, furnished in keeping with the hotel’s period charm while being equipped with all the usual conveniences and all have sizable bathrooms. In addition, Lamphey Court has studio rooms in the former coach house situated just across the courtyard, these are generously sized, some with two bedrooms, suitable for family groups.
Guests can dine in style in the graceful candlelit Georgian restaurant or the informal conservatory. The hotel’s imaginative food is prepared mainly from local produce, which includes Teifi salmon, Freshwater Bay lobster and Preseli lamb and is complimented by a selection of fine wines.
While Lamphey Court has retained its architectural heritage, it is also fitted with the modern components of a luxury Spa and leisure centre with a large indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, solarium, slendertone and aerobics hall. An extensive range of beauty treatments, aromatherapy & massage are also available and there are also two floodlit tennis courts in the grounds and a number of activities can be arranged such as fishing, horse riding, yachting or links golf at nearby Tenby, the oldest course in Wales.
