Littlehampton Coastguards
The large shingle beach gives way to sand at low tide and picturesque areas of hinterland. Devoted management initiatives have ensured cleanliness and good facilities in the area. An added bonus is the coastguard tower overlooking the beach with its up-to-date first aid/ lost children centre unit nearby. Ideally suited for families and all age groups, there is adequate and safe provision of all appropriate amenities, together with a modern funfair and theme park. A Kid Care Scheme operates throughout the season; beach lifeguards between May and September.
Access: Access by car or coach via A24 from London , then A259; or A259 from east and west; or via A241/A27. By train to Littlehampton. Beach is 10 minutes walk through town and riverside walkway.
