Why did you join myguideBritain?
I joined myguideBritain for a new challenge. I enjoy working in the travel & tourism industry and I find it very interesting, you are always learning something new every day!
What is your favourite part of Britain?
My favourite part of Britain is Scotland. Not because I come from Scotland, but because it has so much history which I find fascinating and so much beautiful scenery.
What is your favourite visitor attraction?
My favourite visitor attractions are in Edinburgh. I love a day out in Edinburgh, especially visiting the Castle and the Edinburgh Dungeons. You can enjoy these places at any age and I would definetly recommend a visit to them. They are both within walking distance of each other so they could both be seen on one day out.
What is your favourite British food and restaurant in Britain?
Favourite British food has to be Fish and Chips!! You can find good fresh fish suppers almost everywhere (it becomes a 'supper' when you have it with chips, much more nutritious and highly delicious).
Where do you like to shop?
I am a complete 'shopaholic' so I do love to shop anywhere but I must admit that Glasgow city centre is probably my favourite as I could spend hours and hours shopping there! I enjoy shopping in Princes Square in Buchanan Street in Glasgow (www.princessquare.co.uk). It has really nice shops and loads of lovely restaurants and cafes to eat in and watch all the hustle and bustle of the centre.
Favourite getaway in Britain?
I don’t have a particular favourite getaway in Britain but I enjoy driving up to the north of Scotland. I love the scenic views on route which makes the trip so enjoyable.
Given your experience what advice would you give to people coming to Britain?
My advice to people coming to Britain would be to enjoy it and make the most of it while you are here. Take in the breathtaking scenery and enjoy all the fantastic tourist attractions up and down the country.
