Day 1: Dublin Arrival
Welcome to Ireland! After landing at Dublin airport, a transfer to your hotel will be provided at 07:00am and 12:00 noon.
In the evening, meet with fellow travellers and a tour guide for a welcome drink.Day 2: Book of Kells & Irish Pub
On day 2 you will be able to enjoy a tour around central Dublin. Dublin is famous for their Georgian squares and streets. Once you have finished taking all the sights and sounds in, take some time out in Trinity College where you can view the Book of Kells.
Your afternoon is free for independent sightseeing or shopping. You will be treated to a lovely meal at an Irish pub followed by a lively show filled with traditional Irish music and dance. (B, D)Day 3: Rock of Cashel & Killarney
Today you will depart Dublin and drive south. You will get a chance to stop off at the Rock of Cashel. This is where Brian Boru was crowned King of Munster in 977. You will be able to see the 12th century highly-decorated Cormac’s Chapel as well as the large cruciform cathedral and a round tower.
Onwards to the popular town of Killarney. After you have settled into your hotel, you will be able to enjoy a delicious meal. (B, D)Day 4: Ring of Kerry & Skellig Experience
On day 4 you will embark on the Ring of Kerry tour for constantly changing vistas of mountains, open Atlantic Ocean, beaches and cliffs. Fear not! There will be many chances to stop and admire the scenery as well as time to take plenty of photographs!
You will then visit the Skellig Experience where you can learn about the early Christian monks who lived on the rocky offshore islands and about prolific bird life today. Stop at Moll’s Gap which is famous for its panoramic views before returning to Killarney before dinner. (B, D)Day 5: Blarney Castle & Waterford Crystal
Day 5 will begin with a visit to the famous Blarney Castle this morning where you will have the opportunity to kiss the “Stone of Eloquence.”
Next you will travel through the outskirts of Cork city and along the south coast to the city of Waterford. Take time to stop and visit the ever popular Waterford Crystal Visitor Centre. You will be able to view how the world famous crystal is made. Watch as the skilled crafts people create the ornaments right in front of you.
After this, you will continue to Waterford. Check into your hotel before dinner. (B, D)Day 6: Ferry & Cardiff
Today Depart Waterford early this morning to catch the ferry from Rosslare to South Wales. Travel through pleasant farmlands before travelling through South Wales where coal production played a large part in the area. Stop off in Cardiff for a look around the city centre before heading to Cardiff castle for a traditional Welsh Banquet. (B, D)
Day 7: Roman Baths & Stonehenge
On the morning of day 7 you will get to explore Bath which is popular for its natural hot springs with the Romans 2,000 years ago and again in fashion in the 18th century Regency period.
Next, visit the Roman Baths and Pump Room which has been preserved after two millennia. Next you will drive around the impressive mansions of the Royal Crescent and Queen’s Square. Onwards to Salisbury Plain where you can view the pre-historic circle of vast monoliths at Stonehenge. Continue into London and check in to your hotel once again. (B)Day 8: London Sightseeing
On the eight day of the tour, you have the choice to join your open top sightseeing bus. This will give you the opportunity to stop at many of London’s famous landmarks. (B)
Day 9: Depart for Home
As today is your final day you will receive a transfer to Heathrow airport. An additional cost will be needed for a transfer to Gatwick Airport. (B)
