The Pass
Boasting some of the richest history in the world, Britain is home to
an abundance of ancient castles, manor houses, gardens and olde world
properties, just waiting to be explored.
The Great British Heritage pass was developed by VisitBritain over 30 years ago, is available exclusively to the overseas visitor to the UK, and uses Smart Card technology to offer free access to over 580 of these historic properties.
Entry to sites owned by the National Trust, English Heritage, The National Trust for Scotland, Historic Scotland, and Cadw, are included in the pass. These are organisations which work to protect and preserve our unique historic environment for our enjoyment and learning of British Heritage and History.
The Pass comes in 4, 7, 15 or 30 day passes and offers a range of extras making it simple to plan your daily sightseeing itinerary. Please note that the pass is valid for the relevant number of consecutive days from the first day of use.
