Arrival Airports in Britain
London Heathrow Airport and London Gatwick Airport are the two major
international gateways in to Britain. Both are located on the outskirts
of
London and offer easy access to the English Capital along with the
south and central
England and
South Wales or indeed all of Britain for
longer stays.
Manchester Airport is located in the
North of England and is ideal for
reaching the surrounding northern counties of England and the
North of
Wales . Birmingham Airport offers some international flights and,
located in England's Midlands, offer good access to all of the country.
Bristol located in the
South West of England near to
Bath has a
transatlantic flight which arrives from Newark (EWR) which can offer
excellent connections in the US. This airport is smaller than Britain's
other international airports and offers superb access to the South West
of England, the
Heart of England and South Wales.
In
Scotland , international flights arrive in both
Edinburgh and
Glasgow
airports and both offer great access to the respective city centres.
Both are great arrival airports for visiting Scotland as you can reach
the Highlands within just a few hours drive.
Arriving at one airport and leaving from another offers you the chance
to maximize your time in Britain and see more of the country. This can
be arranged by myguideBritain and we can also negotiate excellent
prices in conjunction with our fly-drive packages.
