Day Number 1: Depart USA

Overnight flight to London.

Day Number 2: Arrive London (2nights)

After checking into your hotel, take the rest of the day at leisure.

Day Number 3: London sightseeing & at leisure

Many major sights are included on our morning sightseeing tour of London. Then the city is yours to discover for yourself. (Continental breakfast)

Day Number 4: London - Oxford - Stratford - Coventry

Greetings from your Tour Director as you travel to Oxford. Here, visit one of the famous Colleges (or the Sheldonian theatre when the Colleges are closed) before reaching Bladon to view Sir Winston Churchill`s grave in the little churchyard. Then on through the Cotswolds to Stratford-upon-Avon, to visit Shakespeare`s birthplace and drive past Anne Hathaway`s cottage. Later, on to Coventry, home of Lady Godiva, to see its two Cathedrals before heading to your hotel. Tonight, you’ll enjoy dinner and a welcome drink with your Tour Director. (Continental breakfast/ Dinner)

Day Number 5: Solihull - Wedgwood - York - Harrogate

Today you drive to The Potteries to visit the Wedgwood Pottery Centre. Then on towards Brontë Country and York. Here an orientation tour takes you to view York Minster and for a walk through the cobbled streets of the `Shambles`. After free time to shop you’ll go on to enjoy typical Yorkshire hospitality with dinner in a local pub. Then head to your hotel in the elegant Spa town of Harrogate. (Full English breakfast/ Dinner)

Day Number 6: Harrogate - Edinburgh (2nights)

Travel through the Yorkshire countryside and the Northumberland National Park stopping at Hadrian`s Wall before crossing the borders into Scotland. Here there`s time to take pictures of ruined Jedburgh Abbey before heading to Edinburgh, Scotland`s capital. During the Festival, we include tickets to the spectacular Edinburgh Tattoo. Day Number 7: Edinburgh sightseeing & at leisure

Elegant Princes Street and the Royal Mile are featured on your sightseeing tour, plus a visit to the famous Edinburgh Castle. You`ll also view the Palace of Holyroodhouse, before time at leisure, perhaps to shop for tartans or sample delicious shortbread. Later, there`s a chance to see Highland dancers on an optional Scottish night out, complete with haggis and bagpipes. (Full Scottish breakfast)

Day Number 8: Edinburgh - St. Andrews - Scottish Highlands

Today you’ll travel across the Forth Bridge to the Fife Coast and St. Andrews, home of the famous golf course. Then over the River Tay via Dundee and Perth to Pitlochry. Maybe visit Blair Atholl castle before arriving at your hotel deep in the Scottish Highlands for dinner and overnight stay.

Day Number 9: Scottish Highlands – Isle of Skye

Travel through rugged scenery to Culloden Moor, scene of the defeat of Bonnie Prince Charlie. Then to the banks of Loch Ness and through Glen Shiel past Eilean Donan Castle, to the Kyle of Lochalsh where we cross over the sea to Skye. (Full Scottish breakfast/ Dinner)

Day Number 10: Isle of Skye - Glasgow

Enjoy more splendid scenery as you cross back to the mainland. Next you drive past Fort William with glimpses of Ben Nevis, Britain`s highest mountain, en route to the Vale of Glencoe. Then along the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond before you reach Glasgow. (Full Scottish breakfast)

Day Number 11: Glasgow - Lake District - Manchester (2nights)

Your morning drive takes you through the Southern Uplands to visit Moffat Woollens. Then into England and the scenic Lake District to visit Grasmere, home of the poet William Wordsworth. Finally, on to Manchester for two nights. (Full English breakfast/ Dinner)

Day Number 12: North Wales Excursion

After breakfast this morning you’ll enjoy a drive to Anglesey and Caernarvon where we visit the Castle. Then continue through the mountains of the Snowdonia National Park, stopping at Betws-y-Coed, with its 15th century Stone Bridge. Here there`s time to stop for tea, before returning to Manchester with dinner at your hotel. (Full English breakfast/ Dinner)

Day Number 13: Manchester - Chester - Llandrindod Wells

Your first stop today is at Chester to admire the Cathedral and city ramparts with time to explore the galleried `Rows`. Then drive over the Horseshoe Pass to Llangollen, home of the International Music Eisteddfod in Wales. From here make your way into Shropshire to visit the market town of Ludlow en route to your hotel in Llandrindod Wells for dinner and overnight.

Day Number 14: Llandrindod Wells - Cardiff - Bath - Bristol

Today`s drive brings you to Caerphilly where you’ll see its spectacular crooked castle. Then on to Cardiff with time to explore the Welsh capital before descending into the Wye Valley to view the 12th century Tintern Abbey. Next, you’ll cross the Severn Bridge arriving in the Georgian Spa town of Bath to visit the Roman Baths. Later continue to nearby Bristol where tonight you’ll enjoy dinner in a friendly local restaurant.

Day Number 15: Day 15 Bristol - Tiverton (2nights)

This morning after a drive to admire the rugged beauty of Cheddar Gorge, you’ll reach Glastonbury to visit the legendary burial site of King Arthur. Then continue on to Dunster with its timbered houses dominated by the great castle. Later, you’ll cross the wilds of Exmoor, Lorna Doone country, to Tiverton.

Day Number 16: Cornish Excursion

A delightful day touring this beautiful area and rugged coastline. You will stop to visit the artists` colony of St. Ives and Penzance to view St. Michael`s Mount. Then there`s time for lunch before you head back into Devon to Plymouth and return past Dartmoor National Park to your Tiverton hotel for dinner and overnight. (Full English breakfast/ Dinner)

Day Number 17: Tiverton - Stonehenge - Salisbury - Isle of Wight - Portsmouth

This morning you’ll visit Stonehenge and its ancient monoliths as well as Salisbury Cathedral. Then off to the New Forest and the yachting mecca of Lymington, where you’ll continue by ferry to Yarmouth and the Isle of Wight. Here we you’ll visit Osborne House, home of Queen Victoria and her consort, before taking the ferry to Portsmouth for the night. (Full English breakfast/ Dinner)

Day Number 18: Portsmouth - Winchester – London

After a leisurely breakfast you’ll drive to Winchester to view its magnificent Cathedral and from here your journey takes us back to London.

Day Number 19: London - USA

Today there`s time to bid farewell to Britain as you transfer to the airport for your return flight to America. (Continental breakfast)
