The Tour

Day 1 - Regency Bath

Using you rail pass glide in to central London on an Airport Express transfer before changing to a mainline and making the swift journey to Bath. The Spa town of Bath is regarded as Britain's best-preserved Georgian city built among the scenic hillsides of the Avon Valley. A UNESCO world heritage site, Bath is home to endless rows and terraces of grand Georgian architecture such as the Royal Crescent overlooking open garden squares. The thriteenth century Abbey lies at the heart of the city's cobbled streets and fashionable shops and arcades whilst Baths crowning glory is the must-see, marvellously preserved Roman Temple, Baths and Pump Room .

Overnight Bath.

Day 2 - Shakespeare's Stratford

Today you journey north through England's famous Cotswold Countryside before arriving in Stratford Upon Avon . Arguably one of England's most picturesque towns with timber-fronted buildings and boats bobbing on the river Avon, Stratford is famed for England's greatest Bard. Visit the museum and exhibition at Shakespeare's Birth Place and Anne Hathaway's Cottage , home of Shakespeare's wife. Round off the day with a short rail trip north to the impressive medieval Warwick Castle.

Overnight Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Day 3 - Roman York

Touch upon the North of England with a visit to York once the capital of the Roman Empire. The city maintains its grandeur with the medieval city walls, watch towers and gates still intact around large parts of the city. Discover the Viking influence at the Jorvik Centre or simply wander the famous Shambles, Britain's oldest shopping street where timber fronted shops tilt and lean over the narrow cobbled lane. York is dominated however by the "must-see" York Minster the stunning Cathedral that can be seen all around and boasts some of the most intricate gothic architecture in the UK.

Day 4 & 5 - Explore London

After you highspeed rail journey south, explore the English Capital and world city of London with visits to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, Trafalgar Square , Tower Bridge and the London Eye. Indulge in shopping in Harrod's, Oxford Street and Covent Garden. The Tower of London is a "must" for discovering some of the England's Tudor history and viewing the Crown jewels whilst there are a host of other world-class exhibitions and galleries including the Natural History Museum , the Science Museum, the Imperial War Museum, the British Museum , the Tate Britain Gallery , the Tate Modern Gallery , the National Gallery just to name a few! Finally spend this evening in London's famous West End with tickets to one of the spectacular and world-renowned shows or musicals.

Overnight London (2 nights).

Day 6 - Return Home

Make your way home having experienced some of the most spectacular and world-famous sights that England has to offer.
