The Offer

Edinburgh is an enchanting, historic city which comes alive througout August during the magnificent Tattoo festival and celebrations. Included in the myguideBritain and myguideScotland Tattoo package are 3 nights accommodation in quality, centrally located hotel accommodation, a double-decker bus city sightseeing tour , a choice of day-trips to the surrounding Scottish countryside and of course tickets the spectacular Tattoo.

The Tattoo

The Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a spectacular event, famous the World over and each year drawing millions of visitors to the City of Edinburgh . The performance itself is a colourful array of music & dance taking inspiration from Scottish history and influences around the world. The show builds to a grand finale where up to 1000 marchers, flag-bearers, dancers and bandsmen complete in kilts and costume perform to the backdrop of the spectacular Edinburgh Castle . And of course the night wouldn't be complete without the haunting lament of the lone piper as the darkness falls over the city and castle.

Dates and Rates

Package can begin any date from Aug 5th 2010 through to Aug 28th 2010.

• The Tattoo shows nightly from Aug 6th to Aug 28th 2010 (except Sundays).
• Performances Mon-Fri are at 9pm.
• Saturdays have 2 performances at 7.30pm or at 10.30pm. Late performances on Saturdays are followed by a fireworks display.
• The Tattoo takes place in the grounds of Edinburgh Castle.

Please note: Availability of accommodation and tickets is limited. Early booking is essential.
