Conrah Country House

Inside the late 17th Century whitewashed house traditional country furnishings create an air of relaxed charm, perfect for sitting with a good book in the Writing Room or afternoon teas in the Drawing Room. One of the most striking features of the Conrah is the oak staircase, which is topped with a fabulous stained glass feature that catches the afternoon sun quite spectacularly.

In the main house Bedrooms are spacious, light and airy with old-fashioned tall ceilings and some are fitted with facilities for wheel chair users. The renovated courtyard buildings also provide excellent accommodation with superior rooms with exposed beams and original stone walls providing an abundance of character. Many of the rooms boast panoramic rooms over the grounds towards the mountains of Snowdonia .

The restaurant is highly regarded as one of the best in the region, using the very best of home grown, locally sourced seasonal produce. The award winning menus combine traditional and modern cuisine specialising in fish and game, complemented by a selection of wines with a strong French influence.

The Conrah has 10 golf courses within an hour's drive and is close by is the resort-cum-university town of Aberystwyth .
