Whilst your comprehensive Travel Insurance will cover most circumstances some people require that little extra reassurance. myguideBritain are now happy to offer a comprehensive and flexible cancellation insurance policy. The myguideBritain cancellation insurances policy is a no-questions-asked policy allowing you to cancel your vacation for any reason whatsoever - you do not even have to disclose why you are cancelling. Typically this service is used in addition to standard trip insurance to cover eventualities including unforeseen change in financial circumstances, changes in plans due to business requirements, family matters, illness or loss in extended family or even just a change of plans. After all your planning, hard work and preparation you do not want to lose out financially.
The Policy
The policy is simple, you may cancel your vacation at any time up to 3 business days prior to travel and you will receive a full refund less the cost of the cancellation insurance. The cancellation must be received in writing (by email) but it is at your discretion whether you disclose the reason for the cancellation. The in-house myguideBritain policy is applicable only to Vacation Land Packages and always excludes flights. The policy itself costs just 7% of the total vacation land package cost but must be purchased at the time of deposit payment and cannot be added at a later date.
Typical cancellation fees are listed below, but these can be entirely avoided with the myguideBritain cancellation insurance policy:
* Before 10 weeks - 20% of the package total
* Within 10-4 weeks of departure - 50% of the package total
* Within 4-2 weeks of arrival - 80% of the package total
* Within 2 weeks of arrival - 100% of the package total
Cancellation Insurance is 7% of the cost of your package.
Please note: myguideBritain Cancellation Insurance can only be purchased at time of booking, covers only those segments of your vacation booked through myguideBritain, covers only myguideBritain land packages (excludes flights) and is only valid when cancelling all parts of your vacation package purchased through myguideBritain. * For cancellation policy of individual segments please see myguideBritain booking terms and conditions.
