Burns Hotel

The Burns Hotel is a historic, grade II listed building tucked away in a peaceful Victorian garden square in the plush Kensington area of London .

Ideally situated in a quiet residential street, the Burns Hotel is close to the shopping districts of Kensington High Street and Knightsbridge and just a short walk from Kensington Palace and Gardens, the Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum and Hyde Park. Just around the corner are a range of shops, pubs and eateries whilst the Earls Court tube station is just 2 minute's stroll from the hotel's front door and offers access to all areas of the city including a direct link with Heathrow Airport on the Picadilly line.

The historic building, protected by English Heritage, boasts a traditional, red-brick facade and overlooks the leafy Barkston Gardens garden square offering an authentic Victorian townhouse feel and a tranquility rarely found within the city. Pass through the doors and the Burns combines personal service with an intimate Art Deco lobby designed with wood paneling, marble floors, wide mirrors and low comfortable seating. Reception staff are happy to help advise with directions to attractions and make recommendations.

Guest rooms at the Burns Hotel are furnished to a high standard with modern, functional fittings and are decorated in mellow, relaxing shades, lights woods and many with views over the peaceful garden square. All 104 bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and offer the facilities to be expected of a 3* city hotel including hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, satellite television and Wifi internet access is available throughout.

The Ellen Terry bar at the Burns, named after the actress who lived in the house at the turn of the 19th century, is the perfect place for relaxing after a day's sightseeing. Decorated in wood panels and soft tartans this cosy bar offers a calm retreat and provides a variety of soft and alcoholic beverages with a menu of light snacks. In the summer months drinks can be taken outside to the secluded terrace of the rear walled garden. The small Patio Restaurant offers intimate but casual dining in a relaxed atmosphere with a more adventurous and evolving menu of international cuisine with favourites including cajun king prawns, salmon, steaks, spicy noodles and deep fried cheeses.

The Burns Hotel offers excellent value accommodation in a pocket of calm within the bustling world-city of London.
