The Burn How is made up of a number of buildings. The reception, restaurant and lounge areas are located in a traditional English country house with large bay windows running the length of the building offering panoramic garden views. Guest rooms at the Burn How are set in a collection of outbuildings including the Lodge, a Victorian detached residence, a bungalow and the more modern Rose Garden and chalet buildings. Inside, you are offered a truly warm Cumbrian welcome in an informal reception area by staff who are knowledgeable of the area and more than happy to offer local advice.

Inspiration for the décor has been drawn from the surroundings with cool natural colours complemented with trimmings in deep blue of the lakes, burnt red and orange of the garden and tasteful floral design.
