    The Tour

    Day 1

    Ride the rails from Manchester airport across to Chester where you will spend. Within its original Roman city walls Chester's main streets are The Rows. Unique in Britain, these fashionable galleried shopping arcades are set on two tiers and styled in Georgian and Victorian mock Tudor. The current Rows dating back to the 1800s provide an attractive and unique setting of decorative timber work and oriel windows a perfect back drop against which to browse the fashionable clothes shops, gift boutiques. Your accommodation will be in the Heart of Chester directly opposite the railway station.

    Overnight Chester.

    Day 2

    Hop on the train as just 40 minutes from Chester lies Liverpool a bustling city with a rich modern history in pop music and named as European City of Culture for 2008. Walk the streets that inspired the Beatles to write their timeless classics and do some shopping while you're there. Central Liverpool offers all of our traditional British High Street stores but don't miss out on a trip to the trendy Albert Dock home of the Tate gallery and an endless avenue of gift shops where you will pick up the perfect treat for friends or family back home not to mention all of your Beatles memorabilia. Return to Chester in the evening for a dinner in your hotel or in one of the city's fashionable restaurants or eateries.

    Overnight Chester.

    Day 3

    From Chester travel East across the north of England to the Roman city of York. Spend your first day here exploring the city maybe on the City Sightseeing Tour. Walk along the original Roman City Walls, visit the British Railway Museum and ogle at the impressive York Minster Cathedral located in the heart of the City. If your brave enough don't miss a visit to the YorkDungeons or take one of the regular Ghost tours operating throughout York as it is one of Britain's most haunted cities. Relax in the evening with meal and a good English beer in one of York's traditional pubs.

    Overnight York.

    Day 4

    Today its back to business as you press on with what you came here for; York is renowned for its great shopping and is home to the oldest shopping street in Britain known as the Shambles. Take a stroll down the cobbles where people have shopped for many hundreds of years, the Shambles with is home to host of quaint, traditional shops where you can buy everything from meats, breads and cheeses to traditional English sweets and confectionary or hand made toys and gifts. From here venture into the more modern areas of town where you'll find some designer outlets offering the best in clothes, shoes and accessories. Spend you final night in York.

    Overnight York.

    Day 5

    Make your way back to Manchester to take the train to the airport for your return flight to the US.
