Summary
The British and Irish Delight tour is a 9 day long coach tour. Some of the highlights include Scottish Cabaret Dinner Show, Traditional Dinner and show in Dublin Historic York, Hampton Court Palace, the Giant’s Causeway, Edinburgh Castle & York Walking Tour.
Itinerary

Day 1: London Arrival & Tour

Once you arriave Heathrow Airport, London you will need to take an independent transfer to your hotel. At approximately 2:30 pm a tour of central London will begin where you will see all the famous landmarks including Hyde Park, Big Ben and Trafalgar Square.  In the evening enjoy a welcome drink before dining in your hotel. (D)

Day 2: London Bus Tour

After breakfast day 2 will allow you to explore London on an open top London Bus tour. Your second voucher is for the Tower of London. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. We recommend shopping or sightseeing. A West End show is a must when you are visiting the area.  (B)

Day 3: Cambridge & York York Walking Tour

Today visit Cambridge to see some of the famous university colleges, including King’s College and the Mathematical Bridge over the River Cam. Then you will head north to York for a walking tour to discover the narrow streets and medieval house for yourself. View the York Minster and take in its towers and stained glass, which is undoubtedly a firm favourite of the walk.

Later in the evening, check in to your hotel before enjoying a lovely meal (B, D).

Day 4: Abbotsford House & Cabaret

On day 4 pass through Heddon-on-the-Wall to view a portion of Hadrian’s Wall and travel through the scenic Northumberland National Park. Cross into Scotland at Carter Bar and stop in Jedburgh, a charming Borders town. In Melrose visit Abbotsford House, Sir Walter Scott’s home where he wrote most of his novels until his death in 1832. Here you will be able to view an impressive collection of memorabilia and a library with over 9,000 rare volumes. Drive onwards to Edinburgh where you will experience colourful Scottish entertainment as you dine at a traditional cabaret. (B, D)

Day 5: Edinburgh Castle & Guided City Tour

On day 5 you will discover Edinburgh’s highlights on a grand city tour. You will see the picturesque Georgian “New Town” with spacious streets and the compact medieval city along the Royal Mile. Tour around Edinburgh Castle and here you will see the Crown Jewels of Scotland and the Stone of Destiny.  Feel free to do as you wish for the remainder of the day. There are plenty of exploring options. Ask you tour guide for ideas!

The August 05 to 19 departures, experience the colourful Edinburgh Military Tattoo. (B)

Day 6: Giant’s Causeway & Derry

You will need to get up early on day 6 as you drive to Cairnryan for a short ferry ride to Larne in Northern Ireland. Enjoy your journey along the “Nine Glens of Antrim” with views of mountains, valleys and coastline. You will get the chance to visit the Giant’s Causeway which played  a part in the legend of Finn McCool. 

Travel to Derry and enjoy an overnight stay. (B, D)

Day 7: Ulster Folk Park & Dublin

On the morning of day 7 you will join a local guide for a short walking tour around Derry which is surrounded by medieval city walls. Near Omagh visit the Ulster American Folk Park where you will see many cottages and traditional crafts. The Park traces the story of Ulster emigrants and shows rural lifestyles in both Ireland and America in Colonial times.

You will then travel south to Dublin where the evening time is free. (B)

Day 8: Book of Kells & Irish Evening

Day 8 involves a tour around central Dublin where you will discover the beautiful Georgian squares and townhouses. Next you will visit Trinity College where you can view the Book of Kells. The afternoon is free for independent sightseeing or shopping. In the evening experience a traditional Irish pub followed by traditional Irish music and dance. (B, D)

Day 9: Homeward bound

A group transfer to Dublin Airport to arrive at 6:00am, 9:00am and 12:00 will be arranged.  (B)
