 Bodnat Gardens, Tal-y-Cafn, Co. Conwy
Set within 80 acres in the Conwy Valley with dramatic mountain views and deep romantic dells, Bodnant Garden is one of the finest horticultural sites in the UK.
 Bodnant Gardens by Tudor House
The estate was bought in 1874 by industrialist Henry Pochin who developed a pleasure garden. His indulgences were furthered by his grandson and great grandson; both men were at the centre of landscape gardening in Britain and both served as Presidents on the Royal Horticultural Society, placing Bodnant at the forefront of many gardening developments.
The garden is split into two parts. The upper part situated around the Georgian mock Tudor house consists of beautiful Italianate terrace gardens with a strawberry tree, cedars and a cacophony of flowers, the lower part, the Dell is a tranquil place of natural beauty with wild gardens and wooded areas of towering trees. Bodnant is famous for its rhododendrons and the fabulous Laburnum Arch a curving tunnel 55 metres long established over a century ago which flowers each year around late May.
