St Ives Porthmeor
![]() |
Dubbed by some as the jewel of the South West, St Ives is not only an ideal location for a family holiday, but also a centre for the arts, with the ‘Tate St. Ives’ art gallery dominating the backdrop of the beach. The sandy shoreline of Porthmeor is a haven for die hard surfers and also a hot favorite with families looking for a fun day out by the sea. Watersports are the order of the day at this almost tropical flavoured location, but alternatively you could just lie back on the crisp golden sand and soak up the atmosphere. Access: At the entrance to St Ives on B3074, near to railway and bus station. Text produced by permission of Encams myguideBritain recommended accommodation: |
