| Southwold Pier has for many years been a much loved holiday resort. The uncommercialised sand and shingle beach with it's array of colourful beach huts continues to attract visitors and residents alike. The refurbished pier is privately owned and fishing is now permitted. The beach has a full lifeguard service during the busy summer months and there is a special area reserved for water sports, which include water skiing and windsurfing. Access: Located in Southwold. Access to Southwold from the main A12 trunk road via A1095. Local bus service. Beach adjacent to coach drop off point and parking.
