| Locally referred to as Victoria beach, this expanse of fine golden sand is the main resort beach in North Suffolk. Recently revived with some impressive attractions Lowestoft South now has a modern visitor centre, refurbished seafront and promenade and an attractive pier. A popular events area has been established at Royal Green next to the promenade providing various children's activities and boasting a new golf garden. Brightly painted beach chalets cheerfully line the beach where there is something on offer for all the family including amusement arcades, bowls, tennis, and a wide choice of water sports. Less than 3 miles away is the "Pleasurewood Hills" theme park with its exciting choice of thrill rides and family attractions.
