Gyllyngvase beach at Falmouth is a typical family resort beach set on Cornwall's south coast and warmed by the waters of the Gulf Stream. It is a deep, long sandy stretch of coastline on the bay side of the town and attracts both residents and visitors year round. Set just off the main link road which leads to the Castle headland, the beach with its raised promenade, offers breath taking views across the bay. Why not hire a deck chair and sit back and relax, watching the more energetic play volleyball and tennis. If you fancy a stroll, visit Queen Mary Gardens, which adjoin the beach and the coastal footpath. The attractive town of Falmouth with it's many facilities and attractions including the National Maritime Museum Cornwall and Pendennis Castle is just minutes away.
