Dawlish Warren

 

The gently sloping golden sands of Dawlish Warren stretch out for over 2 miles providing an idyllic safe haven for bathing, Charming red cliffs jut out from the beach adding a dramatic flavour to the backdrop of this family orientated location. A wide range of public facilities are close at hand, along with a large grassed play area, children's rides, amusements, and a fine selection of cafes and shops. Access and parking are good although there is a rather steep slipway for prams and wheelchairs to negotiate. Specifically designed beach wheelchairs are available to hire, which makes access to the beach much easier.

Access: Access by road - from M5 take A379 through Cockwood for 2 miles to Dawlish Warren. From Newton Abbot take A381 to Dawlish Warren. From Plymouth take A38 for Newton Abbot then connect to A381. Mainline railways and bus routes from all main towns/cities.
