Colwyn Bay
![]() |
Colwyn Bay is a place to enjoyed by both young and old. The buildings are very Victorianesque, evoking the feeling that you are enjoying a truly traditional break at a well-loved seaside resort. The beach is an amazing 2.5 km long stretch of fine shingle. A very pleasant holiday destination, there are plenty of activities to entertain, including Eirias Park, Dinosaur World and the Welsh Mountain zoo. The promenade is a wide walkway with a cycle track adjacent. Dotted along the pathway is a selection of seating and rest shelters all at regular intervals. There are many kiosks alongside the seafront selling snacks and souvenirs and a wander into town will provide an array of shops and eateries. Access: Colwyn Bay and Rhos on Sea are served by the Main line station at Colwyn Bay. Road access is via the A55 expressway onto the Promenade at the Old Colwyn turnoff (number 22). Local and national bus routes operate. Text produced by permission of Encams myguideBritain recommended accommodation: |
