Angel Hotel

The Angel is a grand Victorian hotel ideally located at the very heart of the Welsh Capital directly opposite the famous Cardiff Castle.

Dating back to 1883, and possibly Cardiff's most renowned hotel, The Angel boasts a grand Victorian facade which overlooks the impressive city Castle and manor clock tower. An arched entry porch invites you inside to the tradtionally furnished reception area which has been carefully restored to its former Victorian splendour. The magnificent grand staircase is the centre-piece here, with its marble columns and hanging crystal chandelier. There are 102 guest rooms at the Angel; there are two distinct room styles with classic rooms which retain the traditonal character of the hotel furnished in a combination of light and dark woods and neutral colours. Refurbished rooms offer a more modern feel and quirky design features. What all rooms share are light and airy atmoshere and a pleasant, cofortable space to provide a retreat for relaxtion after a day in the city. The Castell restaurant offers an intimate service and relaxing dining experience.
